The Main State Traffic Police Department (MSTPD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued an appeal to graduates and parents in connection with the “Last Bell” day.
According to the information provided to elchi by the department, the appeal states:
“It is with regret that we must note that an analysis of previous years shows that in some cases, graduates and teenagers attempt to drive vehicles belonging to their parents, relatives, or other persons on the day of the “Last Bell,” or are provided with such opportunities. Such irresponsible behavior often results in serious road traffic accidents, loss of life, or other tragedies.
We remind you that driving a vehicle without a driving license, as well as entrusting a car to persons without a driving license, is unacceptable. Such cases are not only a violation of legislative requirements but also actions that seriously endanger the life and health of people.
At the same time, we inform you that there is a legally established age limit for operating scooters, and a corresponding driving license is required for operating mopeds and motorcycles. Operating these vehicles in violation of legislative requirements, as well as using them for dangerous and exhibitionist maneuvers, can lead to serious road traffic accidents.
We appeal to parents to strengthen control over their children and to take timely measures to prevent behaviors that could endanger their life and health. It should not be forgotten that incidents occurring as a result of inattention or negligence lead to deep regret and sometimes irreversible consequences.
At the same time, we call on individuals and legal entities engaged in car rental activities to strictly comply with the requirements of the legislation and not to provide vehicles to persons who do not have a driving license.
The Main State Traffic Police Department states that in connection with the “Last Bell” events, service will be organized in an enhanced mode in areas where educational institutions are located, in places where graduates gather most frequently, and in directions with intensive traffic, in order to ensure road safety, and necessary control-preventive measures will be implemented.
We request road users to comply with the lawful demands of police officers, refrain from behaviors that may hinder the organization of traffic, and treat general safety measures with understanding.
The “Last Bell” is one of the most memorable days of your life. Ensuring that the joy of this day does not turn into sorrow depends primarily on your responsible behavior. Take a safe step into the new stage of your life and stay away from behaviors that will put your life and the lives of others at risk.”
