Autism is a disease, but social autism is forming today.
elchi reports that Garay Garaybayli, Rector of the Azerbaijan Medical University, stated this during the discussion of the draft law “On Information, Informatization and Protection of Information” at today’s joint meeting of the Milli Majlis committees on Human Rights, Family, Women and Children, and Legal Policy and State Building.
The rector noted that the reason for this is that children and teenagers spend long hours using social networks: “Computer games also affect children’s psyche and can lead to suicide cases. The ‘Blue Whale’ game is already known to everyone. However, every ban applied to children of this age will create a certain reaction in them. We must also provide them with some alternative to the things we ban. Today, a 14-year-old teenager uses social networks without any restrictions, and a year later, they will be told that they cannot access any social network until the age of 16. We will face certain consequences of this. It is more appropriate to determine a transition period between the ages of 16-18. Because giving complete freedom after a ban can also lead to certain negative consequences.”
