A 5.5 magnitude earthquake has been recorded on Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula.

“Elchi” reports that the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Survey of the Russian Academy of Sciences has released information regarding this event.

According to the information, the earthquake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 59.3 kilometers.

The epicenter of the tremors was recorded 334 kilometers away from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the administrative center of the Kamchatka Krai.
