American leader Donald Trump believes that he could be the last Republican president if the Democrats succeed in the US midterm congressional elections.
“Elchi” reports that the US leader stated this in an interview with the “Punchbowl News” portal.
“If they (the Democrats) manage to win, then I might be the last Republican president,” he emphasized.
However, Trump expressed confidence that the Republicans would win, but stressed that the Senate needs to “come to its senses” for that to happen.
Midterm elections in the US will be held on November 3. One-third of the Senate and the entire House of Representatives will be re-elected in the elections. Currently, both chambers of the American legislative body are under Republican control.
