Ireland has banned two Israeli ministers from entering the country

The Irish Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform has banned Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir from entering the country.

elchi reports that Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin announced this.

“As I understand it, the Minister for Justice, Jim O’Callaghan, has instructed his officials to impose a ban on the entry of Minister Ben-Gvir and Minister Smotrich into Ireland,” the head of government said, as quoted by The Irish Times newspaper.

Martin expressed the opinion that restrictions against Ben-Gvir and Smotrich should also be implemented at the European Union level. The Prime Minister added that both ministers have made statements that could be interpreted as a “desire to destroy Palestinians in Palestinian territory.”
