A passenger bus has overturned in Egypt’s South Sinai governorate. As a result of the horrific accident, 16 people died and 28 were injured.
elchi reports that the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population stated in a release that the accident occurred in the morning on the Dahab-Nuweiba highway in the South Sinai governorate. It was reported that 16 people died at the scene and 28 were injured as a result of the passenger bus overturning.
Twenty ambulances were dispatched to the area, and ministry officials stated that the injured were taken to hospitals after receiving initial treatment and that their health conditions are being closely monitored.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
