The next meeting of the Public Council under the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons has been held.

It was stated that supporting the implementation of state policy in the relevant field, ensuring public control and participation in the Great Return process, responding to citizens’ appeals, and other issues were discussed in detail at the meeting.
The report of the Chairman of the Public Council, Anar Khalilov, was heard regarding the issues brought up for discussion.
It was noted that, in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev and the Action Plan of the I State Program on the Great Return, the permanent resettlement of former internally displaced persons to the restored and newly built settlements in the liberated territories is being successfully carried out: “Council members actively participate in measures related to the Great Return, study public opinion at all stages of the organization of this process, and hold meetings with citizens returning to their ancestral lands. There is interactive communication with the heads of the structural divisions of the State Committee for the prompt resolution of appeals to the members of the Public Council. Such cooperation plays a significant role not only in the Great Return but also in keeping all issues related to internally displaced persons in focus and resolving them in a timely manner.”
Chairman of the State Committee Rovshan Rzayev met with the members of the Public Council and noted that effective cooperation with them is important for the agency to further improve its work and to fulfill the assigned tasks in a transparent manner under conditions of public participation. He stated that the proposals and initiatives voiced by the Council members are always given attention. Organizing public control in the Great Return process, establishing direct contacts with former internally displaced persons, and conveying public opinion to the State Committee are commendable aspects of the Council’s activities.
Afterward, an exchange of views took place between the representatives of the structural divisions of the State Committee and the members of the Public Council.
