A joint agreement has been signed between the Cabinet of Ministers, the AHIK, and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs Organizations

A General Collective Agreement for 2026-2028 has been signed between the Cabinet of Ministers, the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations.

“Elchi” reports that the Cabinet of Ministers has released information regarding this.

The document states that the Cabinet of Ministers, the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (hereinafter referred to as the Parties), based on international treaties concluded or acceded to by the Republic of Azerbaijan, conventions of the International Labour Organization, other international legal norms, and the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, are concluding a General Collective Agreement for 2026-2028 that defines their agreed positions and joint activities regarding socio-economic and labor relations.

The Parties believe that the reforms successfully implemented in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the formation of a socially-oriented national economy integrated into the global economic system, the maintenance of macroeconomic stability, the diversification of the economy, the acceleration of the development of the non-oil sector and regions, and the strengthening of state support for entrepreneurship constitute a socio-economic policy aimed at significantly reducing poverty and unemployment levels in the country, ensuring employment for the population, creating new jobs, increasing incomes, improving the material well-being of citizens, and strengthening the social protection of socially vulnerable population groups, and the realization of these goals constitutes the priority objectives of the Agreement.

The Agreement is an integral part of the social partnership system and serves as the basis for the development and conclusion of sectoral (tariff) agreements.

It should be noted that the agreement was signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov, AHİK Chairman Sahib Mammadov, and President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mammad Musayev.
