The Urban Expo, to be organized within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) to be held in Baku, will be the largest exhibition in the history of the forum in terms of both its scope and the number of participating organizations.
“Elchi” reports that more than 163 organizations from 66 countries around the world will participate in the WUF13 Urban Expo.
The participation of the private sector in the forum will also be at a record level. In total, 45 companies will be represented at WUF13, 14 of which are startups. Within the framework of the event, a special platform for startups and innovative initiatives – the Business and Innovation Hub – will be made available to participants for the first time.
More than 44 city mayors from various countries around the world have also registered to participate in WUF13. This once again demonstrates the importance of the Forum in terms of global urban governance and international cooperation.
At the same time, the participation of civil society institutions in the session will also be at a high level. 42 civil society organizations and foundations will be represented at the Urban Expo.
