An event was held in Bishkek on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev

On the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the birth of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, an event was held by the Embassy at Gymnasium No. 20 named after Heydar Aliyev in Bishkek.

The event began with Ambassador Latif Gandilov, embassy staff, and the school staff laying wreaths at the bust of Heydar Aliyev erected in the school lobby.

Afterward, an art exhibition titled “Azerbaijan is my friend,” consisting of drawings by the school students, was displayed. In the exhibited drawings, the students uniquely depicted the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.

The Ambassador and embassy staff attended open lessons held in the school’s 5th and 7th grades on the topics of “Heydar Aliyev” and “Who is a leader?”

Later, a musical-artistic concert dedicated to the birthday of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held with the participation of the gymnasium’s students.

School principal Kanikey Alımkılova stated that Heydar Aliyev’s birthday is a special day at this school. The school’s teachers and students prepare specially for this day; during these days, lesson hours, quizzes, and art exhibitions dedicated to H. Aliyev and Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan friendship are organized, and students prepare poems, songs, and national dances. She noted that all of this has a positive impact on raising students in a spirit of patriotism, and the school’s students learn about Heydar Aliyev’s character and traits, trying to emulate him. Then, Ambassador L. Gandilov spoke and provided the students with extensive information about the life path of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev.

He highly appreciated the art exhibition organized at the school and the open lesson held on the topic “Who is a leader?” and provided the event participants with detailed information about Heydar Aliyev’s leadership qualities, love for the motherland, and the attention and care he showed to children and youth. Expressing his gratitude to the school staff and students for honoring the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the Ambassador noted that this is a clear example of the existing brotherhood and friendship between our peoples.

The event continued with dances, songs, and poems recited in both languages by the students.
The event was attended by embassy staff, the chairman of the Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan Friendship Society Akif Alaferdov, and others.
