As part of the preparations for the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum to be held in Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is conducting fire safety drills in crowded places in the capital, including hotels.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by the MES Press Service.
According to the information, the purpose of the drills, which involved the relevant personnel and equipment of the State Fire Protection Service, State Fire Control Service, and Special Risky Rescue Service of the MES, is to instill behavioral rules regarding emergencies, including fires, in the staff, as well as to increase the practical skills of the personnel in promptly eliminating the consequences of emergencies that may occur in such facilities.
During the conducted drills, after the “Alarm” signal was given in the event of a simulated fire, the MES forces arrived at the scene promptly and began “firefighting” measures. In accordance with the evacuation plan in the hotel where the simulated fire occurred, rescuers carried out the evacuation of victims to a safe place, and “first aid” was provided to those who sustained simulated injuries.
The successfully conducted drills achieved the set goals.
