Fines to be imposed for failure to report signs of violence detected in children

Fines will be imposed for failure to report signs of violence detected in children.

According to the news from elchi, this is reflected in the new articles 189-4 and 189-5 added to the Code of Administrative Offenses, approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

Thus, according to the new Article 189-4, failure by parents (or their legal guardians), as well as employees of educational, medical, social service, sports, cultural, recreational, and penitentiary institutions responsible for supervising children, to report the detection of signs of violence against a child to the relevant law enforcement agencies or the local commission for the protection of children’s rights shall result in a fine of two hundred to three hundred manats for individuals, and four hundred to six hundred manats for officials.

According to Article 189-5, failure to prevent continuous pressure and aggressive behavior against children, including such behavior between children, in educational, medical, social service, sports, cultural, recreational, and penitentiary institutions shall result in a fine of three hundred to four hundred manats for individuals, and five hundred to six hundred manats for officials.
