US President Donald Trump has stated that he is prepared for the Iranian economy to fall into a state of crisis.
“Elchi” reports, citing “Sky News”, that he said this in a statement to journalists at the White House.
“I hope the Iranian economy will collapse because I want to win,” he said.
Commenting on the situation, Donald Trump called the US sanctions against Iran “massive.” He also stated that the country’s economic situation is extremely dire.
“Their currency is worthless. Inflation is probably 150%… they can’t pay their soldiers. The money has no value,” he added.
At the same time, Trump emphasized that Iran wants to reach an agreement. According to him, if there were no war, Iran could have taken control of the Middle East, but currently, Tehran is trying to survive.
