“Observations show that, as a rule, traffic intensity between the capital and the regions increases on weekends. As a result of the increase in the number of trips in both directions, traffic congestion occurs, especially on highways, which inevitably affects the risk of accidents.
The Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs states that, in order to ensure traffic safety, control and preventive measures have been further strengthened throughout the country.
In addition, it should be noted that in some cases, serious traffic accidents are inevitable due to drivers not following the rules, technical malfunctions, haste, and inattention. To prevent such cases, the Main State Traffic Police Department once again appeals to drivers:
Before setting off, check the technical condition of your vehicle, do not go on the road with a faulty vehicle, and strictly observe speed limits and overtaking-maneuvering rules. Take into account the rainy weather conditions characteristic of the season and the real situation on the road. Make long-distance trips with breaks, and do not get behind the wheel while tired or sleepy.
