The Baku City State Traffic Police Department has issued an appeal to road users in connection with the “Baku Marathon 2026”.
According to the information provided to elchi by the department, in order to ensure the safety of participants, traffic will be fully restricted on certain streets and avenues on May 3 from 09:00 AM until the end of the event due to the marathon.
The marathon, which will cover a total distance of 42 km, will start at the Flag Square and proceed through the administrative territory of the Seaside Boulevard, Marine Station, Neftchilar Avenue, Baku White City Boulevard, 8 Noyabr Avenue, Yusif Safarov Street, Sevgi Park, Heydar Aliyev Avenue, Baku Arena, Boyuk Ipak Yolu Street, Muzaffar Narimanov Street, Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, Boyukshor Street, Boyukshor Bridge, Balakhany circle, Boyukshor–Pirshagi road, and the Baku Circular Road (Bilgah–Pirshagi highway), with the finish line set at “Sea Breeze”.
Drivers and other road users are requested to plan their routes in advance on the specified date, take into account possible congestion in the mentioned directions, and use alternative roads.
