The ranking list of Azerbaijani athletes for May 2026 has been announced.
elchi reports that the leader of the list is Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov, who won a gold medal at the European Championship held in Tirana, Albania, last month. He is in first place with 480 points.
The second place in the ranking is held by freestyle wrestler Giorgi Meshvildishvili (460 points), who won the European champion title. Arseniy Dzhioev, a silver medalist of the continental championship, rounds out the top three with 420 points.
The subsequent positions are occupied by judoka Zelim Kotsoiev (390 points), Eljan Hajiyev (370 points), boxer Saidjamshid Jafarov (350 points), Greco-Roman wrestler Murad Ahmadiyev (330 points), judoka Zelim Tckaev (320 points), Greco-Roman wrestler Ulvu Ganizade (300 points), and Murad Ahmadiyev again (270 points).
The ranking table was formed based on the results achieved by the athletes in international tournaments.
