The large-scale restoration and reconstruction works being carried out in Karabakh and East Zangezur are one of the rare examples of post-conflict development.
elchi reports that this was stated by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, during his speech at a meeting with members of the diplomatic corps accredited in our country held at Karabakh University.
He noted that over the past five years, Azerbaijan has been building cities and villages from scratch in the liberated territories using its own financial and institutional resources, creating modern infrastructure, transport, and energy systems. Furthermore, construction and restoration works are being carried out in parallel in dozens of cities and districts, and hundreds of settlements.
Hikmet Hajiyev emphasized that this process forms an important experience for the region’s future development model, and Karabakh is already becoming a hub of innovation and reconstruction.
