Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva have visited the “ABAD” Ceramics and Applied Arts Center, which operates in the territory of the “Yukhari Bash” State Historical-Architectural Reserve in Sheki.
“Elchi” reports that the main purpose of establishing the center is to preserve the ancient ceramic heritage of Azerbaijan, especially the Sheki region, to pass these artistic traditions on to future generations, and to contribute to the international recognition of our country’s cultural heritage.
It was noted that favorable production conditions have been created for local artisans at the center, and their access to the market and the development of their creative activities are being supported.
Later, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva became closely acquainted with the activities of “ABAD” ceramic artists and participated together with the artisans in the process of creating ceramic products. It was highlighted that the artisans drew inspiration from Leyla Aliyeva’s paintings in the creation of various ceramic samples. Leyla Aliyeva thanked the ceramists for the attention paid to her works, highly appreciated their activities in the direction of preserving and developing national art traditions, and wished them new creative successes.
In the end, commemorative photos were taken with the center’s staff and the artisans.
