Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of the “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC (ADY), one of the AZCON Holding companies, participated in the next meeting of the Board of the International Association “Trans-Caspian International Transport Route” (TITR IA) Legal Entities Union during his business trip to Kazakhstan.

It was noted at the meeting that the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route has gained an important position among global freight routes in recent years; the volume of cargo transported along this route in the East-West-East direction is constantly increasing, which in turn brings to the fore the increase in operational efficiency and the widespread application of digital solutions.
At the same time, the work carried out by the executive body of the TITR IA Legal Entities Union over the past two years was reviewed, and the necessity of improving the existing cargo transportation plan and developing container transportation in the direction of Europe via the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway was emphasized.
In the end, the final protocol of the TITR IA Legal Entities Union, a Memorandum on cooperation in the field of digitalization of multimodal freight transportation, as well as three agreements on mutual activities and responsibilities regarding the organization of container transportation between the ports and terminals of the Caspian Sea along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, ensuring the loading of container ships, and organizing block train transportations were signed.
Within the framework of the event, a meeting was held between ADY Chairman Rovshan Rustamov and Talgat Aldybergenov, head of the “Kazakhstan Railways” National Company (KTZ).
It was stated at the meeting that cooperation in the railway sector between the two countries is successfully continuing, and significant progress has been achieved in the direction of digitalization.
The parties expressed their interest in further expanding cooperation, accelerating the implementation of digital solutions, strengthening coordination between the Baku International Sea Trade Port and Kazakhstan’s ports, and continuing joint activities to increase the competitiveness of the Middle Corridor.
