Israel and Lebanon will hold talks in Washington, the capital of the USA, next week.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Axios portal reporter Barak Ravid, citing an Israeli official.
“The first meeting will take place in Washington, at the State Department. The US side will be led by the ambassador to Lebanon, Michelle Issa. Israel will be represented by ambassador to Washington, Yehiel Leiter. The Lebanese side will be represented by ambassador to Washington, Nada Hamadeh-Moavad,” he said.
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered to start direct negotiations with Lebanon as soon as possible.
