Azerbaijan has set a goal of 100% transition to electric machines in agriculture.
elchi reports that this is reflected in the document “Azerbaijan’s Long-Term Low-Carbon Development Strategy”.
According to the document, it is planned to accelerate the transition from traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) machines to electric machines in the agriculture, forestry, and other land use (AFOLU) sectors by 2035. By 2060, it is planned to further accelerate the transition from traditional ICE machines to electric machines and achieve full (100%) electrification and complete reduction of emissions from this sub-sector.
