Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi held an extensive meeting.

It was stated that the ministers emphasized that high-level dialogue, mutual trust, and friendship between our peoples are the main driving forces of bilateral relations.
The parties highly appreciated the rapid development of the comprehensive strategic partnership established in 2025. It was noted that important agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Azerbaijan to China create a solid foundation for expanding relations between the two countries. It was also emphasized that 2027 will mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and China.
The ministers discussed opportunities for deepening cooperation in the fields of trade-economic relations, investments, energy, transport, logistics, and connectivity. Azerbaijan’s role as a key link between Asia and Europe and the growing importance of the Middle Corridor in strengthening regional and interregional connectivity were highlighted.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to mutual support within the frameworks of the UN, SCO, and other international platforms.
During the meeting, there was also an exchange of views on the regional security situation and recent developments. The importance of continuous dialogue, diplomatic engagement, and multilateral cooperation in addressing current challenges was emphasized.
Jeyhun Bayramov informed his counterpart about the peace process with Armenia, as well as Azerbaijan’s post-conflict recovery and reconstruction efforts in its liberated territories.
