Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov met with a delegation led by the Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Esgandar Momeni, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Minister K. Heydarov noted the importance of expanding relations between relevant bodies in the field of combating emergencies in the context of the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Iran.
Kamaladdin Heydarov provided the guest with detailed information about the activities of the MES, spoke about the mutual benefits of cooperation between the two bodies in the exchange of information and experience, operational coordination in eliminating the consequences of various emergencies, and other areas, and expressed confidence that this visit and the discussions held will give impetus to the development of relations.
Esgandar Momeni emphasized the high appreciation of the humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan during large-scale emergencies that occurred in Iran at various times. The guest spoke about the development prospects of cooperation between the two bodies in the field of emergency management and noted the importance of this visit in terms of developing relations.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
