The Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran (SEPAH) has attacked an oil tanker that violated the rules (rules declared by Tehran – ed.) east of the Strait of Hormuz.
“Elchi” reports that ISNA has disseminated information about this, citing SEPAH Navy.
“A fire broke out today at noon on an oil tanker that attempted to pass through a prohibited zone by turning off its tracking systems,” SEPAH said.
It was noted that the oil tanker was detected by the Navy’s observation teams.
It should be recalled that the Iranian side claims that oil tankers hit mines in the Strait of Hormuz, while the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) claims that the ships were hit by an unknown projectile.
