The ambassadors of the European Union (EU) countries have agreed on the 22nd package of sanctions against companies and individuals associated with Russia’s defense sector.
elchi reports that “TASS” disseminated information about this.
“The ambassadors have agreed to blacklist more than 1500 companies and individuals,” the agency’s source said.
The new sanctions are expected to be approved by the Council of the European Union and to enter into force by the end of the week.
On September 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the West is imposing illegal restrictions on countries defending their national interests and threatening with secondary sanctions. He also noted that more than 30,000 sanctions have been imposed against Russia, which is twice the sum of restrictions imposed against all other countries.
