On September 30, a meeting was held between the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, and the Chairman of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey’s Defense Industry Administration, Mr. Haluk Görgün, who is on an official visit to our country to participate in the “ADEX-2026” 6th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition held at the Baku Expo Center.
According to information provided to elchi from the MOD, during the meeting, it was specifically noted that cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey in military and military-technical fields is developing, and the existing strategic alliance and cooperation in the defense sector aim to support regional security, lasting peace, and stability.
Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and Haluk Görgün discussed the current status and development prospects of joint projects in the defense sector, as well as exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
Haluk Görgün expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics of relations with brotherly Azerbaijan in the fields of military and military-technical cooperation.
Within the framework of the international exhibition, stands belonging to Turkish military-industrial companies such as “ASELSAN”, “Baykar”, “Roketsan”, and “TUSAŞ” were reviewed, and detailed information about the displayed weapons, equipment, aviation, and flight vehicles was provided to the Azerbaijani delegation.
