Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Azerbaijan, Maksat Mamytkanov.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov spoke about the existing friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries. He recalled that bilateral relations, based on the historical and cultural closeness of our peoples with common roots, shared values, mutual respect, and trust, are successfully developing at the level of strategic partnership thanks to the political foresight and wisdom of President Ilham Aliyev and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
In this context, touching upon the expanding relations between the Ministries of Emergency Situations of the two countries, the Minister, in accordance with the relevant instructions of the country’s President, assessed the delivery of humanitarian aid by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations to Kyrgyzstan after the strong earthquake in Osh region in 2015, and the provision of gratuitous material and technical assistance to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic last year, as another manifestation of brotherly solidarity between our countries, noting that this has given impetus to the development of goodwill relations between the institutions.
The Minister spoke about the importance of further developing cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan in areas such as prevention and elimination of the consequences of emergency situations, civil defense, training of specialists, exchange of professional experience, and other directions, expressing his confidence that the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Baku will continue its efforts in this regard.
Ambassador Maksat Mamytkanov expressed his satisfaction with the continuous development of friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. In this context, the Ambassador emphasized the mutual benefit of further expanding relations between the relevant agencies of the two countries in the field of prevention and elimination of the consequences of emergency situations, noting that he will spare no effort in this direction.
Issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
