In connection with the start of the new academic year, the Main State Traffic Police Department has issued an appeal to road users.

It was stated that with the beginning of the educational process, an increase in traffic intensity on the roads, especially during morning and evening hours, and congestion around schools, kindergartens, and other educational institutions are expected:
“In such conditions, it is essential for every road user to be more attentive and responsible. Speed should be reduced in advance near educational institutions, special attention should be paid to pedestrian crossings, and vehicles should not be parked in the second lane, on pedestrian crossings, or in other places that obstruct traffic.”
It was noted that when parents bring children to school, they should park their vehicles only in safe and permitted areas and ensure that children get in and out of the vehicle on the sidewalk side.
Students should cross the road only at designated places, should not suddenly step onto the road from between parked cars, and should not use devices that distract attention, such as mobile phones and headphones, while moving.
Let us not forget that the behavior demonstrated by parents in traffic is the most effective example for children. If we demand that our children follow the rules, we must first show it through our own behavior.
