Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal, who won 3-1 against Sevilla in the 7th round of the Spanish championship, has set a record as the youngest player to reach 50 assists in the Spanish La Liga since the 2013/2014 season.
“Elchi” reports, citing “Opta”, that the 19-year-old forward provided two assists in the mentioned match.
With this, he has brought his total number of assists to 51 in 159 matches played for the Catalan team across all competitions.
Having reached his 50th assist at the age of 19 years and 68 days, the athlete is the youngest player to achieve this milestone in La Liga since the 2013/2014 season. The previous record belonged to Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior (22 years and 298 days). The player achieved this feat in 2023.
It should be noted that in addition to his 51 assists, L. Yamal has scored 57 goals for the team in all competitions.
