China’s “CAS Space” company has successfully launched nine spacecraft into orbit.
“Elchi” reported that the company announced this on its official WeChat messenger page.
According to the information, the launch took place at 12:03 Beijing time (08:03 Baku time) from the “Dongfeng” launch site at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northern China. The “Kinetica-1” carrier rocket was used to launch the vehicles.
The mission successfully placed the “Xinglin-01” and “Xinglin-02” optical Earth observation satellites, the “Pengcheng Shoufa” satellite (designed to test technologies for integrating satellite communications with telecommunications systems), and the “Chaojisuan-1” satellite (capable of processing data directly in orbit) into orbit.
In addition, three “Diting-01” vehicles designed to monitor the electromagnetic spectrum, as well as the “Puxing-4” and “Yunsao Tanluzhe” satellites, were launched. All spacecraft entered their target orbits successfully.
The “Kinetica-1” rocket is a four-stage solid-fuel rocket with a payload fairing diameter of 3.35 meters. The rocket is 31 meters long and has a payload capacity of up to 2 tons to low Earth orbit (up to 1.5 tons to sun-synchronous orbit). This was the 16th launch in the rocket’s operational history and the 5th in 2026.
