The court process regarding the appeal filed against the verdict of Anar Asadli, chairman of the dissolved Yuksaliş Party, has been held.
“Elchi” reports that the decision was announced today at the Baku Court of Appeal during the proceedings chaired by Judge Afgan Alakbarov.
According to the decision, the verdict of the court of first instance was upheld.
It should be recalled that according to the verdict of the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, Anar Asadli was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison.
It should be noted that Anar Asadli was charged under Article 178 (fraud) of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of arrest was chosen for him in April 2023. Although the court later released Anar Asadli to house arrest, he was arrested in the courtroom during the first preliminary hearing based on the motion of the injured party.
Oqtay Gasimov, Ilham Huseynli, Etibar Nasibov, and Tamara Allahverdiyeva were recognized as victims in the criminal case.
