Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) has started the restoration of a railway bridge on the Khirdalan–Bilajari section as part of infrastructure renewal.
This was reported by ADY. It was noted that the main goal of the work is to ensure the safe and reliable movement of trains along the line: With the start of restoration work on the bridge, temporary changes have been made to the suburban train schedule. Thus, due to changes in speed and direction on the Khirdalan–Baku route, the arrival time of trains has temporarily increased.
It was emphasized that the new schedule, while ensuring the continuity of passenger transport services, allows for restoration work in the area to be carried out within the required safety conditions. In addition, the daily number of suburban train trips has been increased from 84 to 90.
After the restoration of the bridge is completed, the speed limit in the mentioned direction will be increased, and the train schedule will be adjusted accordingly. At the same time, passenger transport on the Khirdalan–Sumgayit line will be restored.
The main priority for ADY is to complete the restoration work as quickly as possible, while fully complying with all safety requirements. Full restoration of traffic is planned shortly after the start of the academic year.
