The Ministry of Emergency Situations has appealed to the public regarding the expected weather conditions

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has appealed to the public regarding the expected windy and rainy weather conditions.

This was reported to elchi by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It was stated that, according to the National Hydrometeorology Service, strong winds are expected in the country until August 30, with intensive rainfall in some areas and short-term floods in some mountain rivers.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations once again reminds of the relevant safety rules.

Thus, during strong winds, it is recommended to stay away from light structures and temporary buildings, billboards and advertising signs, and not to stand under electric poles, wires, or tall trees.

Likewise, small vessel operators should take into account that going out to sea in such weather conditions is prohibited. Considering that people head to beaches for recreation during the summer season, we remind you that it is dangerous to enter the sea in strong windy weather.

In addition, due to precipitation, to protect against possible floods and inundations in some rivers, it is recommended to stay away from flood-prone areas and, if faced with this danger, to immediately climb to a nearby high ground.

Also, to protect against dangers related to lightning, it is recommended to disconnect electrical appliances from the network, not to talk on the phone (fixed network, mobile, payphone, etc.), not to approach power lines, lightning rods, gutters, and antennas while outdoors, not to take shelter under tall trees, and if in a car, to stop moving, roll up the windows, and wait for the lightning to pass.

Remember: Indifference to the rules is a danger to our lives!

In case of danger, call 112!
