In July, Kazakhstan redirected a portion of its oil exports to alternative routes due to disruptions in the operations of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC).
elchi reports that the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan has provided information regarding this matter.
According to the ministry’s statement to the Interfax-Kazakhstan agency, work is underway to redistribute export flows. Within this framework, the volume of oil transportation in the Atyrau–Samara direction has been increased, and supplies to China have also risen.
The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan stated that it is considering the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline, transportation through the territory of Azerbaijan via the Caspian Sea, as well as the Baku–Supsa route among the alternative options.
“Transportation via the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan system, shipments through the territory of Azerbaijan via the Caspian Sea, as well as the Baku–Supsa route are being considered,” the ministry stated.
