The next FIFA president could be a former female footballer

Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter has revealed the name of a candidate who could lead the organization in the future.

elchi reports that the Swiss official considers the president of the Norwegian Football Federation, Lise Klaveness, worthy of this position.

In a post on his social media account, Blatter stated that Klaveness stands out for her principled stance:

“Lise Klaveness is a person worthy of deep respect. She has always shown a principled stance and has never gone with the flow. It is time for a woman to lead FIFA and head the organization.”

It should be noted that 45-year-old Klaveness played during her football career from 1997 to 2011. She played 73 matches for the Norwegian national team.
Gianni Infantino has been the president of FIFA since 2016.
