A series of events have been held by the relevant agencies of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to raise public awareness about behavioral rules during emergency situations.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry, with the participation of specialists from the State Fire Control Service, the State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue of the MES, the Baku Regional Center (RC) held events at Children’s Somatic Sanatorium No. 6 in Garadagh district, City Polyclinic No. 6 in Khatai district, and the Thalassemia Department of the National Center of Hematology and Transfusiology in Narimanov district of Baku; the Sumgayit RC held events in parks, green areas, and recreation centers in Sumgayit, as well as at Kindergarten No. 27 in Khirdalan, Absheron district; the Ganja RC held events at the Psychoneurological Social Service Institution No. 4 and the Hygiene and Epidemiology Center in Ganja; the Mugan RC held an event at the “Kur” Water Supply Department of the “United Water Supply Service of Large Cities” public legal entity; the Karabakh RC held an event at Kindergarten No. 4 in Beylagan; the Northern RC held an event at the representative office of the Head of Siyazan District Executive Power for the Mashrif village administrative territorial district; and the Aran RC held an awareness-raising event at the Goranboy District Central Hospital.
The purpose of the events was to provide citizens with the necessary knowledge regarding behavioral rules during potential natural and man-made emergencies.
During the events, detailed information was provided on the classification of emergency situations, emergencies characteristic of our country, including necessary behavioral rules for fires and earthquakes, the purpose of the MES “112” hotline was explained, and the rules for using primary fire extinguishing equipment were demonstrated.
During the interactive events, questions were answered in detail.
