10 Ukrainian soldiers underwent rehabilitation courses in Azerbaijan

Over the past year, 10 Ukrainian soldiers rescued from Russian captivity have undergone rehabilitation courses in Azerbaijan.

“Elchi” reports that this was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Gusev, in an author’s article.

The diplomat expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan for the humanitarian aid provided and the care shown to the soldiers:

“The medical and psychological assistance provided by Azerbaijani specialists has been a very important support for the fighters who returned from captivity. The peoples of Azerbaijan and Ukraine know the value of freedom and independence very well.”

The diplomat wrote that every year, while commemorating the victims of January 20 at the Alley of Martyrs in Baku, he feels especially how close the two peoples are to each other.

The article also honored the memory of Ukrainian soldiers who were subjected to torture and killed in Russian captivity.

Recalling the killing of dozens of Ukrainian prisoners in Olenivka prison in July 2022, Yuriy Gusev called on the international community not to turn a blind eye to these injustices and to save those who are still in captivity.
