Forest fires lead to the destruction of trees and vegetation, damage to the habitats of wild animals, the degradation of the fertile soil layer, and the disruption of ecological balance.
The restoration of ecosystems damaged by fire can take many years.
In order to prevent fires, citizens are requested not to light fires in forests and surrounding areas, not to throw unextinguished cigarette butts into nature, not to burn dry grass, bushes, or household waste, not to leave glass and other waste that could cause a fire in the area, and to immediately inform the relevant authorities if smoke or signs of fire are observed.
Let us not forget that a small act of carelessness can lead to the burning of large areas, the destruction of flora and fauna, and long-term damage to nature.
