London police have announced the arrest of two people suspected of assisting the Iranian intelligence service.

It is noted that a 42-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man were arrested at residential addresses in London by officers from the London counter-terrorism unit as part of an investigation into suspected violations of the National Security Act.
Both individuals were arrested on suspicion of assisting a foreign intelligence service. The suspects were taken to a London police station and were later released on bail until the end of October.
Police emphasized that the ongoing investigation is not linked to any of the incidents or attacks on various facilities and buildings related to Jewish and Iranian communities across London earlier this year.
