The opponents of Azerbaijani judokas at the “Grand Slam” tournament to be held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, have been determined.
“Elchi” reports, citing the press service of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, that the first opponents of our athletes have been revealed following the draw.
In the competition, which provides license points for the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympic Games, Azerbaijan will be represented by 16 judokas (12 men, 4 women) in 11 weight categories.
504 athletes (308 men, 196 women) from 67 countries will compete in the tournament.
In the “Grand Slam” to be held from September 11 to 13, the preliminary round will start at 11:00, and the final block will start at 19:00.
