Our country is represented in table tennis and futsal at the universiade held in Salerno, Italy, from July 15 to 25, organized by the European University Sports Association (EUSA). The Azerbaijan Sports Academy team represents our country in the futsal competitions.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Science and Education.
It was stated that our team defeated the strong Portuguese team with a score of 3:1 in the quarter-finals of the tournament and qualified for the semifinals of the competition.
It should be noted that the participation of the Azerbaijan Sports Academy team in the European Universities Games was ensured through the organization of the Azerbaijan Student Football Federation Public Union, with the support of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan, the Trade Union of Education Workers, the Association of Sports Organizations of Azerbaijan Trade Unions, and the Azerbaijan Sports Academy.
