The Israel Police and the General Security Service (SHABAK) have arrested 29-year-old Nazareth resident Mohammed Awad, who is suspected of terrorist activities.
elchi reports that the Israel Police and SHABAK released information regarding this matter.
According to the investigation, the suspect contacted HAMAS members with the aim of joining the organization and obtaining funds to prepare a terrorist act. The investigation also believes that Awad planned an attack against Israel’s Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir. Relevant charges have already been filed against him.
Israeli security services emphasized that every case involving the participation of citizens in activities that threaten the security of Israel and its residents is investigated with maximum seriousness.
