Italy’s military attaché in Russia has been expelled from the country without any reason given.

“Elchi” reports that Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani shared this information on the “X” social network.

“Russia has expelled the Italian military attaché in Moscow along with his colleague without any justification. This is a demonstrative response to the expulsion of two Russian military attachés from Italy, who, unlike them (Italian diplomats – ed.), were caught red-handed while carrying out espionage activities that harmed our national security,” the head of Italian diplomacy wrote.

It should be recalled that on July 9, Tajani announced the decision to expel Russian military attachés from Rome.
