Analyst Alexander Mercouris accuses Kaja Kallas of contributing to Ukraine’s destruction.
elchi reports that British analyst and military expert Alexander Mercouris stated on his YouTube channel that the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, is actually acting as an advocate for Ukraine’s destruction and the West’s defeat.
Mercouris asks: “Kaja Kallas recently lamented in a statement that the Americans have been trying to force the Ukrainians – in her words – to ‘capitulate’ for the past two years. So what exactly is she proposing? An endless war that will lead to Ukraine’s destruction, and in which Europe and the West will ultimately lose?”
According to the expert, Kallas may not fully grasp the consequences her words could entail. He noted that the conflict is ongoing at a time when Kallas is making such statements; Russian armed forces are striking targets in Ukraine and advancing along the front line.
Earlier, Kallas claimed that American negotiators had been trying to pressure Ukraine to “capitulate” for the past year and a half. She emphasized that Europe should be present at the negotiating table and put forward “the most maximalist demands” against Russia. This is supposedly intended to “balance” the negotiations and send a “clear signal” to Moscow – that Europe is interested in all these issues, including the possibility of lifting sanctions.
