Implementation of 58 initiatives for digital development has begun in Azerbaijan

In recent years, systematic reforms have been carried out in the field of digital development in Azerbaijan, and this process is being consistently continued under the supervision of the country’s leadership.

elchi reports that Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Hasanov stated this at a public hearing in the Milli Majlis on the topic of “Digital development, artificial intelligence, and protecting children from harmful influences on social media platforms.”

Rashad Hasanov assessed the establishment of the Digital Development Council, the approval of the action plan, and the definition of strategic goals as important steps in this direction.

He noted that the action plan covers four main areas: digitalization of public services, data management and integration, development of the innovation ecosystem, and strengthening cybersecurity.

According to the Deputy Minister, who stated that implementation work has begun on the 58 initiatives identified within this framework, one of the main priorities is to consolidate data stored in various government agencies into a unified state database, as well as the integration and automation of public services. This approach will both increase the efficiency of public administration and ensure faster and more convenient access to services for citizens.

Rashad Hasanov cited the automation of data exchange between various government agencies regarding birth registration as an example. He added that this allows citizens to obtain many services without the need for additional applications.
