Heydar Aliyev International Airport continues to expand its route network. Starting from September 29, 2026, Wizz Air, Europe’s largest low-cost airline, will launch direct regular flights on the Bratislava – Baku – Bratislava route. Flights will be operated twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
According to the information provided by the airport to elchi, the opening of the new destination will serve to further strengthen air links between Azerbaijan and Slovakia, create additional opportunities for tourism and business trips, and provide passengers with more affordable and convenient access to one of the promising destinations in Central Europe. This route is another important step taken by Heydar Aliyev International Airport in the development of its international route network.
Airline tickets for the flights are already available on the official website of Wizz Air and through other sales channels.
