The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has issued a statement regarding the new rules of the game to be applied in football.

elchi reports that the TFF has announced that the new rules, first implemented at the 2026 World Cup, will come into effect in Turkey starting from the 2026/2027 season.

The federation’s statement noted that UEFA has officially communicated the implementation principles regarding the new rules of the game to member federations and referees appointed for international matches.

The TFF’s Central Referee Committee has planned an extensive training and information process to ensure the correct and uniform application of the new rules in line with other national federations in Europe.

In this context, training will be provided to referees with the participation of a UEFA instructor at the pre-season referee seminar. Subsequently, the implementation principles of the new rules and their impact on Turkish leagues will be explained to the public at a press briefing to be organized.

An information letter regarding the “Laws of the Game Seminars” for clubs was sent via the Union of Clubs on July 2. Clubs were requested to notify the TFF of their training requirements by July 10.

It should be noted that the training and information activities will cover the Super League and 1st League, as well as the 2nd and 3rd League clubs.
