The Ministry of Health has appealed to the public

People suffering from cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, neurological disorders, and other chronic health problems are more sensitive to the effects of sunlight.

elchi reports that this was stated by Zakir Guliyev, a specialist-expert of the Ministry of Health and a therapist.

“In various cases, as a result of heatstroke, body temperature can rise to 40°C or higher. The skin becomes hot, dry, and red, the pulse accelerates, and breathing becomes rapid. In more severe cases, attention deficit, behavioral changes, speech difficulties, confusion, seizures, and even loss of consciousness may be observed. These symptoms are indicators of a serious condition requiring emergency medical attention,” the expert said.

Zakir Guliyev noted that it is not recommended to stay outdoors for long periods, especially between 11:00 and 17:00, when sunlight is most intense: “It is advisable not to go out unless necessary, and to prefer being outdoors mainly before 11:00 in the morning and after 17:00 in the evening.”

The expert emphasized that consuming sufficient fluids during hot weather is one of the main conditions for protection against heatstroke.
