The appointment of Enzo Maresca as the head coach of England’s Manchester City has been announced.
elchi reports that the Premier League representative’s press service released information regarding this matter.
The “Citizens” have signed a contract with the Italian specialist until the summer of 2029. He previously worked at Manchester City as the head coach of the youth team (2020-2021) and as an assistant coach for the main team (2022-2023).
“Manchester City is a club I know very well. The opportunity to manage this team is a great chance for me. City is an incredibly well-organized football club. Everything they do is innovative, thoughtful, and purposeful. This is a perfect situation for a manager. It provides the stability I need to perform my job effectively.
This will be my third time working at the club. I know this club, I know the requirements and expectations. The quality of the people working here makes this club special, and I want to thank them for their belief in my abilities. I am looking forward to starting to coach the players. I want us to win, play good football, and enjoy the pressure of representing Manchester City,” Maresca stated to the club’s press service.
It should be noted that the 46-year-old specialist previously worked as a head coach at Italy’s Parma, as well as England’s Leicester and Chelsea clubs.
