In Venezuela, two earthquakes occurred 39 seconds apart: a 7.5 magnitude earthquake 23 kilometers southeast of Yumare in Yaracuy state, and a 7.2 magnitude earthquake 24 kilometers northeast of San Felipe, located in the same state.
The depths of the earthquakes were measured at 10 kilometers in Yumare and 21.9 kilometers in San Felipe.
Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodriguez announced that 32 people lost their lives and more than 700 people were injured in the earthquakes that occurred in her country. 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Japan
A 6.9 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Iwate Prefecture in northeastern Japan.
The earthquake, which occurred near the city of Kuji in Iwate Prefecture, was recorded at a depth of 51.7 kilometers.
Although no tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake, local media reported that 6 people were injured.
